ANNOUNCEMENT OF OUR NEW VICAR

In services across the parish last Sunday, the appointment of The Revd Ellen Bernstein as the next Vicar of Warkworth was announced.

Ellen was ordained in 2012 for the Diocese of Waikato, and has served in that diocese since then. She has been Vicar of the Mission District of St Stephen’s, Tamahere, since 2014. Ellen was also, for a period, Chaplain to the Bishop of Waikato.

Ellen and her husband, Noel, look forward to joining us in a few months’ time. A Service of Installation, presided over by Bishop Jim, will take place on Thursday 17 August at 7.30pm at Christ Church, and Ellen’s ministry as Vicar of Warkworth will begin on Tuesday 22 August. Please pray for Ellen as she prepares to take up her position as our new pastor.

The Committee of Nomination would like to thank you all for your support and encouragement and, most especially, your prayers as we have undertaken this task. The Churchwardens will be working with the Archdeacon and the Bishop’s Office on transitional arrangements.

Neil McEnteer, Bishop’s Warden - On behalf of the Committee.
